There's the Bronze with Black Recycled PET* Vegan Leather, and there's Arctic Grey Recycled Aluminum. Because webcams are so 2021, the Z13 is rolling out with a Communications Bar. Sure, it’s got a camera—and with FHD infrared technology, it’s great. But with adjustable settings, AI-based noise-cancelling mics with Dolby Voice®, and facial-recognition login capability, it’s so much more. The Communications Bar inspires a world of collaboration with everywhere you are.



Redesigned keyboard—not just for typing

While our ThinkPad keyboard is timeless, we’ve taken it to a new level. It features a glass haptic TouchPad with integrated navigation buttons. The little red TrackPoint? Still there, and you can still use it like a mouse. But you can also double-tap to launch the Communications Quick Menu settings to optimize audio-visuals. There’s even a Dictation Toolbar for handy speech-to-text transcription.



AMD-Microsoft security partnership

All ThinkPad laptops include ThinkShield, a suite of security solutions engineered to safeguard your business. Our Z13 laptop also has ground-breaking chip-to-cloud technology with Microsoft Pluton, resulting from a partnership between AMD and Microsoft—working in conjunction with data encryption and biometrics. Plus, an electronic shutter controlled by the F9 key ensures the camera stays off.

Enjoy rich detail and color on a non-touch 13.3″ WQXGA OLED display (2880 x 1800) with Dolby Vision® and 100% DCI-P3 when every pixel counts. Or go with the WUXGA panel (1920 x 1200), low power with 100% sRGB colors available—with or without touchscreen. All options include low blue-light display to help reduce eye strain.

We use the US Department of Defense's MIL-STD 810H standards to create a balance of value and durability for our ThinkPad laptops. We test against 12 standards and more than 200 quality checks to ensure they run in extreme conditions. These tests cover harsh variables like Arctic wilderness and desert dust storms, including temperature, pressure, humidity, vibration, and more.
